Increasing the water capacity of a monumental lock complex
The monumental lock complex in Halfweg is crucial for the water management of the Haarlemmermeer. The complex has been around for seven centuries and therefore has a historic function as well as being a tourist attraction. The complex consists of three locks with two islands in between. The District Water Control Board of Rhineland has the task of increasing the transit capacity of the lock complex at the eastern lock island. Iv-Infra is hereby drawing up the UAV-GC contract, which includes the architectural design of a new bicycle/pedestrian bridge.
